BREAKING: Former US President Jimmy Carter has passed away at the age of 100. Carter was a Noble Peace Prize recipient and veteran of the US Navy who served from 1977 to 1981 as the 39th president of the United States. Prior to that he served as a state senator and 76th governor of Georgia. Carter is the longest-lived president in U.S. history and the first to live to 100. Via @916times
