Washoe County Sheriff Arrests 14 Suspects for DUI
Per WCSO:
“Over the past week, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) deputies have arrested 14 individuals on charges of Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Thankfully, these incidents did not result in any loss of life.
Nationally, impaired driving continues to be a significant concern, with approximately 30% of all traffic fatalities involving impaired drivers.
“Great work by our deputies for being so proactive in getting these drivers off the road. We are dedicated to removing impaired drivers from our roads to preserve the life, peace, and safety of our community. Our deputies will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that those who choose to drive under the influence are held accountable.”– Sheriff Darin Balaam
The WCSO urges all community members to plan ahead when consuming alcohol or impairing substances. Options such as designating a sober driver, arranging a ride with a trusted friend, or utilizing rideshare services are essential to prevent impaired driving and ensure everyone’s safety.
