Two men have been convicted in separate cases involving attempts to pay for sex with minors in Washoe County.
Phillip Laub was arrested in December 2021 after setting up a meeting with an undercover officer posing as a 16-year-old girl. Laub sent over 12,000 messages trying to arrange paid sex with a minor.
He was found guilty of several charges and is scheduled for sentencing on April 3.
Another case involved Timothy Leverette, who contacted an undercover detective posing as a 17-year-old girl on a prostitution website.
