"Oakland Athletics Unveil Designs for New Las Vegas Ballpark"

The Oakland Athletics recently unveiled new renderings of their proposed Las Vegas ballpark on Tuesday The Oakland Athletics showcased a 33,000-fan capacity stadium with a fixed roof and tiered seating offering unobstructed sightlines from every seat. The design features a unique roof inspired by baseball pennants and includes the world’s largest cable-net glass window facing the iconic Las Vegas Strip. The $1.5 billion project is being led by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) with HNTB as the sports/hospitality designer and architect. Construction is set to begin in April 2025, with the ballpark expected to be ready for the 2028 season. The stadium will be built on 9 acres of the 35-acre Tropicana site, with plans for a 3-acre shared space plaza. Bally’s is also planning to construct a hotel-casino on the remaining acreage.
