Truck Driver Shot Near Nevada/California Border Per Mineral County Sheriff’s Office: “Montgomery Pass Shooting Incident - February 25, 2025 On February 25, 2025, at approximately 7:28 PM, the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a shooting on U.S. Highway 6, mile marker 4, near Montgomery Pass on the California border. A truck driver, who was standing outside his semi-truck, was shot in the leg after a vehicle pulled up and discharged approximately five rounds. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by White Mountain Ambulance to Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop, California, for treatment.
