Washoe County Deputies Arrest Man Transporting Cannabis Per WCSO: “**PRESS RELEASE** On February 28, 2025, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van near Red Rock Blvd for traffic related offenses. The driver was identified as Kings Ojata. While speaking with Ojata, deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the van. A search revealed 21 large cardboard boxes in the cargo area of the van. Each box contained 10 smaller vacuum sealed boxes within. Further investigation revealed the contents of the boxes were pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes. The van and its contents were transported to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office to be booked into evidence. The total weight of the marijuana was 593 lbs. The total value was estimated to be approximately $889,500.
