Officer Involved Shooting In Carson City
Per Carson City Sheriff’s Office:
“Carson City Deputies were involved in a shooting resulting in the death of the suspect.
At approximately 9:21 a.m. on April 17, 2025, a Carson City Deputy contacted the occupants of a vehicle parked in a parking lot near the intersection of North Curry Street and West Robinson Street. During the consensual contact with a man and a woman, it was determined that the male subject in the vehicle had a felony warrant out of Arizona. While the Deputy was verifying the information, a second (Traffic Enforcement) Deputy arrived at the scene to assist.
As the officers took steps to take him into custody, the suspect fled on foot toward a residential area. Both Deputies pursued the suspect on foot to a parking lot about one block away, where he presented with a handgun. Shots were fired in the parking lot, and the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 9:34 a.m. No other injuries were reported.
The deceased suspect is identified as a 35-year-old white male. His last known residence was documented in Welton, Yuma County, Arizona. The warrant identified the suspect as a Parole Violator from Arizona with an original Aggravated Assault offense. The female involved, who stated she had no fixed address, was released at the scene.
This incident is being investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Both Carson City Sheriff’s Deputies involved have been placed on standard Administrative Leave.” #carsoncity
