Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Arrest Two for Drug Charges After Traffic Stop 🧊 ❄️ 🌳 🐕
Per WCSO:
“On March 30, 2025, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Washoe County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Sun Valley for traffic-related violations.
The vehicle had previously been observed at a residence known for ongoing criminal activity and was involved in an active investigation lead by Sparks Police Department. Inside the vehicle were three subjects. After initial contact and investigation, a K9 was requested to assist, and a K9 Officer with the Reno Police Department arrived on scene.
The K9 conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted, providing probable cause to search the vehicle.
During the search, deputies located multiple items of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances in the vehicle, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana.
Morgan Jack was arrested and booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility for the following:
• NRS 453.337.2A – Possession of Controlled Substances for Sale (Felony)
• NRS 453.336.2E – Possession of Controlled Substance >42g (Felony)
• NRS 453.336.2A – Possession of Controlled Substance <14g (Felony)
• NRS 453.321.2A – Transport of a Schedule I Controlled Substance (Felony)
• NRS 453.566 – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
Sierra Shopes was arrested and booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility for the following:
• NRS 453.566 – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
• NRS 454.516 – Possession of Dangerous Drug Without Prescription (Misdemeanor)
