Washoe County Sheriff Deputies Have Issued 3,223 Tickets Since January Have you got one yet? 🤨 Per WCSO: “Our Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Motor Unit is comprised of 6 Deputies and 1 Sergeant — each of whom also serves as a member of our Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.). Since January 1st, this small but mighty team has conducted approximately 3,300 traffic stops, resulting in 3,223 citations or written warnings. Their efforts play a critical role in keeping our roadways safer every day. So far this year, Washoe County has investigated 172 traffic crashes. Of those, our Motor Unit has taken the lead on 56 crash investigations, including 2 major incidents involving serious injuries or fatalities that required full M.A.I.T. activation.
