Meet Candidate Chris Tabarez We interviewed Mr. Tabarez who is a first time candidate running for Washoe County School Board. According to his website www.votechristabarez.com “Chris Tabarez is an educator and sports coach with over 20 years of experience. He is passionate about the enrichment and elevation of all children. Once elected, he will give parents a greater voice in how their schools are run and what their children are taught.” We asked him the same questions we are asking all candidates. His answers were genuine and he also shared how being the son of immigrants who worked in agricultural fields led him to pursue his education and become a teacher and coach. He is running against current board president Beth Smith who acts more like a tyrant, even publicly referring to parents as ho spoke at a board meeting as “terrorists”. She is currently facing allegations that she may have created a fake sexual harassment conspiracy against her own colleague, trustee Church.
