Press Conference Announcing the Arrest of Keefe D for Murder of Tupac
The Las Vegas Sheriff and Clark County DA hosted a press conference today detailing the arrest of Duane “Keefe D” Davis for the 1996 murder of rap super star Tupac Shakur on the Las Vegas strip following a Mike Tyson fight.
The arrest was made in great part due to Keefe D’a own confession following a book and documentary titled Murder Rap by Gregg Kading, the lead detective in an LAPD task force formed to clear LAPD in any liability for the alleged murder of Christopher Wallace aka Notorious BIG.
In a tapped confession and multiple video interviews on TV and YouTube, Keefe D detailed how Sean Combs aka P Diddy offered him and his south Compton Crip gang to kill Tupac and Suge Knight for $1 million dollars. Diddy also allegedly offered a bounty on Death Row chains to use in a music video for his Bad Boy record label. Keefe D’s nephew Orlando Anderson, a Crip, allegedly attempted to steal one of those necklaces from a Deathrow member and Blood gang member during a fight at a Compton mall.
This event and the fact that Keefe D’s gang were providing security for P Diddy and BIG, whom Tupac accused of being involved in a robbery and shooting of him in New York in 1994, Tupac attacked Orlando Anderson in Las Vegas in the MGM Grand.
Wanting retaliation, and to seize on the opportunity to collect the bounty, Keefe D, his nephew (the alleged shooter) and two others hunted for Tupac and Suge whom they found at a stop light on Flamingo and Koval Lane. According to Keefe D himself, he provided the 40 caliber Glock, which was acquired from Diddy’s partner “Zip”, to his nephew to shoot Tupac and Suge as they sat in a BMW at the light.
Sean Combs has refused to publicly answer any questions about the allegations of his involvement. Everyone else involved has since died or been killed including Orlando Anderson who was killed in a gang shootout over money in Compton.
The indictment came from a grand jury. A court date for jury trial will be set next. #lasvegas #compton #nevada #california #henderson #newyork @2pac @diddy
