Today TMZ interviewed former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight over the phone from prison. Suge was in the car that was shot multiple times in a drive by on the Las Vegas strip in 1996. Tupac Shakur was hit multiple times in the passenger seat and Suge was grazed in the head.
According to a previous confession by murder suspect Duane “Keefe D” Davis, Suge knew who the killers were as they played pop Warner football together as kids in Compton. They even locked eyes with each other as the shooting commenced.
Despite that, Suge Knight is not only saying he won’t testify, but going so far as to say “free Keefe D”. The murder of Tupac that fateful night would not only lead to the downfall of his multimillion dollar company, but send him to prison for 8 years for violating his probation.
In the recorded phone interview, Knight also says Orlando Anderson, Keefe D’s nephew who Tupac attacked at the MGM, was not the shooter. In new information provided by law enforcement, a member of the South side Compton Crips whom the killers were members of, testified to the garbs jury that authorized the indictment that Anderson was not the shooter, but that another occupant in the car know as “Big Dre” who was sitting behind the driver was. #tupac #hiphop #henderson #lasvegas #nevada #compton #losangeles #california 🎥 @tmz_tv
