Reno City Council Race Heats Up With Mailer Targeting Candidate With Allegations While many music fans across the nation are weighing in on the dis track battle between hip hop heavy weights Kendrick Lamar and Drake, a local city council race between Devon Reese and Brian Cassidy are escalating in a very public way as well. Devon Reese took to facebook to post mailers that were sent out depicting him in drag with a list of reasons why people shouldn’t vote for him. Our Town Reno Facebook page posted copies of those mailers unedited. On the other side it lists reasons why people should vote for his opponent Brian Cassidy. Reese posted an edited version, crying foul and saying how he’s just a local government servant and such claims and criticism are undemocratic. Many supporters commented on his post agreeing with him, while others added to the criticism of him on both his page and on Our Town Reno. Reese didn’t address any of the actual allegations, just blamed Robert Beadles. Did any of you Reno residents receive one of the mailers?
