Local Hero Helps Save Lives Per Washoe County Sheriff: “When duty calls, our deputies answer. Last weekend Deputy Kalicz caught sight of a house in his neighborhood on fire. Without hesitation, he put on his Sheriff’s vest, placing himself on duty, and was among the first people on the scene. Deputy Kalisz then assisted in going door to door, evacuating residents toward safety. We took a moment to recognize our deputy for engaging in his own backyard in a time of need.
