Sparks PD Helps Combat Retail Theft “Yesterday, on June 4, 2024, the Sparks Police Department’s Neighborhood Police Unit (NPU) partnered with Target to help further combat retail theft. In this controlled operation, NPU officers arrested 12 subjects, 7 of which were released with a citation, all related to theft. In addition to the theft charges, NPU arrested subjects for a Possession of a Controlled Substance warrant, Failure to Comply on a DUI warrant, and drug paraphernalia. During these arrests, approximately 24 grams of methamphetamine were seized and taken off the streets of our community. The Sparks Police Department is committed to combatting retail theft and will continue to work with our local businesses conducting future operations.” #sparks
