Temperatures will be heating up again Wednesday and Thursday this week with widespread Moderate HeatRisk, and isolated patches of Major in the hottest valleys. Near record temperatures with highs 15-18 degrees above seasonal averages. Expect highs 90-101 in western NV valleys, highs 80-95 across the Eastern Sierra valleys, and highs 82-99 in northeast CA valleys through Thursday followed by a bit more typically warm temperatures for the latter half of the week. Reschedule activities, recognize heat illness, drink plenty of fluids, take frequent breaks in A/C, and use sun protection.
