City Council held a special meeting today to canvass the votes, declare the results of the 2024 primary election, and confirm the candidates for the 2024 general election. The results are as follows: Donald Abbott, Ward 1, won in the primary election after receiving more than 50 percent of the votes. He is declared elected and will not appear on the general election ballot. Paul Anderson and Brad Fitch will move on to the general election for Ward 3. Kristopher Dahir and Joe Rodriguez will move on to the general election for Ward 5. Robert DeLong and Jesse Kalter will appear on the general election ballot for Sparks Municipal Court Judge. #sparks #nevada
