WCSD Teacher Tied to Beth Smith Exposed by Parents For Sexually Explicit Posts on Social Media
Washoe County School District Board President Beth Smith is a defendant in a child custody case brought about by her third ex-husband. In her defense Smith has made allegations claiming sexual, physical, and psychological abuse… that apparently was never reported until she was sued for child custody.
Smith tried to keep the testimony secret, because she didn’t want details about her sexual affair that led to the divorce to be made public. Apparently it’s not a good look for a school board president. What’s also not a good look is the online conduct her friend and WCSD teacher, Pablo Nava-Duran.
On March 11, 2024, Duran authored an Opinion piece published by This Is Reno. It attacked Smith’s political opponents while rabidly defending her. Within weeks of Duran’s article being published, he was magically promoted from coach to a higher paid position, which he took to Twitter/X to boast about:
“Breaking news: I’m officially become a 6th grade science teacher at Sparks Middle School starting Monday April 15th through June 10th.”
Warning: Graphic Content
Parents are now asking why Duran is being allowed to teach at all. Upon further investigation into Duran’s public Twitter/X account, alarming posts are prevalent that include concerning conduct. In addition to actively following more than twenty pornographic accounts, Duran is posting explicit content along with photos of young students involved in sports.
The following pages outline publicly sourced graphic content from Duran’s Twitter account as of July 1, 2024. In one post, Duran retweeted a photo of a nude young woman with the title “smash or pass?”
WCSD Trustees – especially Beth Smith - owe parents an honest answer as to why it’s acceptable for any teacher to post such inappropriate sexual content while representing WCSD. Parents also want to know if this is why they refuses to remove pornographicly illustrated “educational” material that depicts multiple sex acts to young students. #sparks #reno #nevada #wcsd
