Washoe County Commissioners Vote to NOT Certify Election Recount Results Today, in what may be a historic first, Commissioners Herman, Clark, and Andriola surprisingly voted against certifying the election recount. The 3-2 vote came after a multitude of voters attended the meeting a spoke out in a 4 and a half hour marathon meeting, which usually only lasts a half hour. Several speakers, including Reno businessman and fair elections advocate/watchdog Robert Beadles, presented evidence they say showed the election was statistically manipulated based on Washoe County official’s own certified data. Advocates are claiming this for a victory for all voters, stating everyone should be concerned with what’s going on in Washoe County. Even Beadles, who has been critical of Andriola, thanked her for doing the right thing. With the election recount not being certified yet, the courts may rule on whether or not a hand count should be done, which is what advocates are asking for. Commissioners and County officials themselves have admitted to issues with the election.
