Pershing County Commissioner Charged With Felony For Hunting Bear in Washoe County 🐻
Pershing County Commissioner Joe Crim was arrested and charged with a felony charge for illegally killing a bear during last year’s hunting season in Washoe County.
A criminal complaint was filed against both Crim and his hunting guide Michael Stremler, owner of Secret Pass Outfitters, for killing a bear in Ophir Creek of Washoe Valley that was closed to hunters at the time.
The crime allegedly occurred on November 10, 2023 when Crim killed an eight year-old male bear weighing 575 pounds, a Category E felony, which carries a sentence of up to four years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine. #washoecounty #pershingcounty #nevada #hunting
