Per Pyramid Lake PD: “Update from Burning Man: Weather Update - Saturday 8/24/24 4:10am — The Gate into Black Rock City has closed due to rain. Delay your travel to BRC and stay in Reno until we announce that the Gate has reopened. It is not safe to wait on the side of the highway on the way to BRC. We must also be respectful of our neighboring communities in Wadsworth, Nixon, Empire, and Gerlach - do not park in these communities while we wait for the Gate to reopen. Our forecasts indicate the rain should end by late morning or early afternoon. We will reopen the Gate when it is safe to do so.
