Convicted Pimp of Children Flees Reno The Washoe County DA has announced that Reginald Ellis, 37, fled while awaiting the verdict that convicted him of sex trafficking and exploitation of minors on Wednesday. Ellis was convicted by a jury on three charges including sex trafficking a child under 16, trafficking a child under 14, and child abuse involving sexual exploitation. For REASONS THAT ARE INEXPLICABLE Ellis was released on his own recognizance by the judge in January 2023. The DA’s office objected to that release, but was ignored. The charges stemmed from an arrest in June of 2022 when Ellis was found responsible for the abuse of a 16-year-old girl who was admitted to the hospital. Police discovered that Ellis was prostituting and physically abusing the girl as well as grooming her 14-year-old sister to be prostituted.
