Woman Arrested for Stealing Car After Chase Per Washoe County Sheriff: “Another excellent example of teamwork was demonstrated yesterday by our deputies after responding to a call reported by the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Police (RTAAPD) regarding a stolen vehicle. On the afternoon of October 3, 2024, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched after a female suspect reportedly stole a vehicle from a rental car company at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. In communication with RTAAPD officers, the stolen vehicle was tracked to the Eagle Canyon area. After a coordinated search, deputies located the vehicle near Point View Way. When deputies approached, the female suspect fled on foot, prompting them to establish a perimeter around the neighborhood and adjacent hillside. After an extended search, a resident ultimately notified deputies that the suspect had been spotted hiding in their yard. Deputies responded to the residence, locating and arresting the suspect. The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Noelle Betzer, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting a public officer, destruction of property, and an outstanding felony warrant for failure to appear after bail.” #deputies #publicsafety #reno #nevada
