Washoe Deputies Make DUI Arrest After Accident Per WCSO: “Last week, our deputies responded to a traffic collision and, after an on-scene investigation, determined that one of the drivers involved was impaired. The driver was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). Last month, DUI arrests by our Sheriff’s Office deputies doubled compared to the previous month. With many in our community enjoying the ongoing warm weather, it’s important to remember that driving under the influence can have serious—even deadly—consequences. As part of our ongoing efforts to help ensure our roadways remain safe and in line with our strategic plan, we’ve expanded personnel dedicated to reducing traffic-related fatalities caused by DUIs.
