Oct 09, 2024 — by 775TimesTeam in 775Times, Articles

Tropicana Casino Demolished to Make Way For New A’s Stadium The iconic Las Vegas landmark, The Tropicana, was demolished early this morning after standing for 70 years. The sight will be redeveloped into the new stadium of the former Oakland Athletics. The implosion was complete with a 7 minute fireworks and a 555 drone show. 2,000 pounds of explosives then turned the former casino into ruble in 22 seconds. The new A’s stadium is set to be completed in 3 years. In the meantime the team will play in Sacramento where the minor league RiverCats baseball team currently plays. #lasvegas #oakland #oaklandathletics #nevada #sacramento #california #mlb
