Newly discovered comet visible in the sky β˜„οΈ 🌌 These amazing photos were taken at Lake Tahoe by photographer @abeblair and his son. It’s called C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas. It can be seen with the naked eye between October 12-20th in the southern sky just above the horizon. β€œIt’s the brightest comet to pass earth in the last 13 years. It comes from deep space from the area known as the Oort Cloud, a spherical shell comprised of icy space debris surrounding our solar system. It was first discovered by an observatory in China in January 2023, then confirmed later in February by Atlas in South Africa.” #tahoe #laketahoe #reno #sparks #carsoncity #nevada #comet #cometa3
