Jacksons Food Store Bandit Finally Caught Per WCSD: “Over the past two weeks, an individual has been repeatedly entering the Jacksons Food Store on Lemmon Drive, grabbing various items off the shelf, and fleeing on foot. Washoe County Sheriff’s deputies have responded to the calls and, after the first call, began an investigation to identify and apprehend the individual. By canvasing locals and working with store employees, deputies were able to identify the suspect. Once the suspect was identified and camera footage of the crimes was secured, law enforcement made a positive ID on Justin Barnett. Working across multiple teams, deputies located and identified Barnett yesterday. Upon being approached, Barnett fled from deputies and a foot pursuit ensued. Ultimately, Barnett was caught and taken into custody. He has been charged with multiple counts of Petit Larceny and one count of Resisting a Public Officer. This was great work by our deputies and serves as an example of how we work with local business owners to secure properties and help ensure a safe environment for patrons and employees.” 👀
