#TMFR Crews quickly stopped a half acre brush fire on the 500 block of Quartz Lane in Sun Valley at approximately 10:10 am this morning. Minimal damage to structures. One resident is being assessed for smoke inhalation. Cause under investigation. Despite cooler temperatures, fire risk remains high in Washoe County. Please avoid outdoor activities that can spark fires, such as campfires and target shooting. Tracer ammunition and exploding targets are illegal year-round in Washoe County and on public lands. Always have access to water or carry a small fire extinguisher and hand tools in the event a small fire starts. #sunvalley #nevada
