Heads up, Sparks! Starting Monday NV Energy will begin an infrastructure improvement project to enhance the safety and reliability of gas service in downtown Sparks. The project will be completed in two phases. Phase 1 of the project will include work at the alley intersections of 10th Street and Victorian Plaza Circle, south of Avenue of the Oaks. Road closures will be in place on 10th Street and Victorian Plaza Circle. Phase 2 of the project will begin Monday, May 6. NV Energy will start replacement of the main gas line on Avenue of the Oaks. Avenue of the Oaks will be temporarily closed to traffic and detour routes will be in place. The project is expected to take about six to eight weeks to complete. Work hours for both phases will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the roadways reopening nightly. Please refer to the map for road closure information. #sparks
