Be Beary Careful 🐻 There has been an increase in reported bear activity in Southwest Reno. In an effort to help the Nevada Department of Wildlife, the Sheriff’s Office would like to help you be BearWise. Washoe County has a garbage ordinance requiring residents to secure their trash to prevent bears and other animals from accessing it. Bear-resistant containers can be requested from Waste Management.
