Woman Found Guilty For 2021 Sparks Homicide Per Sparks Police: “On February 14, 2021, Sparks Police Officers responded to the 1800 block of El Rancho Dr in response to a shooting. The victim of the shooting later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Detectives identified Katrina Carvalho as the suspect. Carvalho fled to Los Angeles, and was later arrested and extradited back to Washoe County. Last week, Carvalho was found guilty of Murder with the use of a Deadly Weapon, 1st degree. This conviction was made possible by the swift actions of our patrol division, our detectives, local law enforcement, Washoe County District Attorney’s Office, and the Los Angeles Police Department.
